Proposed change to Michigan legislation

Michigan residents pay a lot for car insurance in comparison to the rest of the nation, and it might have to do with their policy of paying for unlimited medical coverage for people who are permanently injured in car accidents.

State legislators are coming up with some options to offset the rising costs, as displayed below in the screen cap from the WZZM13 news segment on this matter (which can be seen here: http://www.wzzm13.com/video/default.aspx?bctid=2864129605001).

Considering the fact that car accident injuries can last for a loooong time, people are wondering if this coverage should be handed off to Medicare instead.
